Abdulwaheed Olajide Olatinwo, Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. He did his postgraduate training at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) between 1989 and 1995 culminating in the award of Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS). Additionally, he acquired a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and is an alumnus of Insead Business School Fontainebleau France.
He was appointed Consultant Obstetrician/Gynaecologist and Lecturer I at the University of Ilorin in April 1996. He rose to the rank of Senior Lecturer in 2001, Associate Professor in 2007, and Professor in 2011. He was Acting Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the University of Ilorin from August 2002 to July 2004. On March 18, 2010, he was appointed as the Chief Medical Director (CMD) UITH, Ilorin. His research interests span through reproductive health, Gynaecological Endocrinology, fetomaternal medicine, and healthcare financing.
