Prof. Abiodun S. Adeniran is a Professor at the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, College of Health Sciences, University of Ilorin. He is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who has been involved in Medical Education for over a decade. His administrative appointments include Coordinator, Medical Education Resources Unit (MERU), College of Health Sciences (2020-2022); Coordinator, Community-Based Experiences and Services (COBES), College of Health Sciences (2022-till date) and Deputy Chairman of Medical Advisory Committee, University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (2018-2020). He specializes in Feto-Maternal Medicine and Prenatal Screening/ Diagnosis. He is a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria and West Africa College of Surgeons; he holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. His research interests include Feto-Maternal Medicine, Reproductive Health, Gender Violence, Contraception, and General Obstetrics & Gynaecology. He is widely published in both national and international peer-reviewed journals with over 100 publications. He was Awarded the Researcher of the year (2024) for the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, University of Ilorin at the University of Ilorin 2024 Merit Awards Ceremony.
