Prof. Olayinka Rabiu Balogun

Professor Olayinka Rabiu Balogun is a Professor in the department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, University of Ilorin. He hails from Ilorin, Ilorin East LGA of Kwara State and graduated from the famous  College of Medicine, University of Ibadan in June 1983.

He had his residency training at University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) and qualified as a Fellow of the West African college of Surgeons in 1991. He has since been practising Obstetrics and Gynecology.  He has been involved in both training of undergraduate Medical Students and Resident Doctors undergoing Postgraduate training. His administrative positions include Head, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Member of the Top Management Committee of the UITH, Ilorin. He is the current Chairman, University of Ilorin Ethical Review Committee. He is an examiner at the West African College of Surgeons. His research interests include Reproductive Endocrinology and Family Planning.
